The Color Genetics in Min Pins

The main genetics in a Min Pin are as follows:

A Locus - Ay & at -(two/tone and sable)
B Locus - B & b    -(black and brown)
D Locus - D & d    -(non dilute and dilute)
E Locus - E & e    -(non clear red and clear red)
The A's (I like to call this series the begin)

The A locus is one of the main genes that will tell us if the coat is going to be two /tone (like black/rust) or a one single mass color  (red).

Here are the A Locus the min pin can carry

Ay - Sable (aka stag red) This is the dominate gene of the two A genes
at - two/tone (bka black/rust) This is the recessive gene of the two

Colors that carry the AyAy or Ayat are -
Stag red, Chocolate Stag Red, Blue Stag Red, Fawn Stag Red (clear red series may also carry the Ay
gene)

Colors that carry the atat are-
Black/rust (or black/tan), Chocolate/rust (or chocolate/tan), Blue/rust (or blue/tan), (clear red series may
also carry the at gene)

There are three combinations of the A locus in the min pin

Ayat - can be found in stag reds & clear reds
AyAy - can be found in stag reds & clear reds
atat - can be found in two/tone colors and clear reds
The B's (I like to call this series the browns)

The B locus is one of the main genes that will tell us if the coat is going to be forms of black or forms of brown

Here are the B Locus the min pin can carry

B - Black(non brown) This is the dominate gene of the two genes
b - Brown (non black) This is the recessive gene of the two

Colors that carry the BB or Bb are -
Black/rust, Blue/rust, Stag Red, Blue Stag Red, Clear Red and also Tan (blue nosed)

Colors that carry the bb are-
Chocolate/rust, Fawn/rust, Chocolate stag red, Fawn stag red, Self colored clear red and also Tan(with a
fawn nose)

There are three combinations of the B locus in the min pin

BB - can be found in Black/rust, Blue/rust, Stag Red, Blue Stag Red, Clear red, & Tan (blue nosed)
Bb - can be found in Black/rust, Blue/rust, Stag Red, Blue Stag Red, Clear Red, &Tan (blue nosed)
bb - can be found in Chocolate/rust, Fawn/rust, chocolate stag red, Fawn Stag Red,  Self Colored Clear Red, &
Tan (fawn nose)
Every Min Pin carries a pair of the genes but the combinations can be different.
The D's (I like to call this series the dilutes)

The D locus is one of the main genes that will tell us if the coat is going to be forms of black or forms of blue (AKA dilute)

Here are the D Locus the min pin can carry

D - Black(non dilute) This is the dominate gene of the two genes
d - Blue (aka Dilute)This is the recessive gene of the two

Colors that carry the DD or Dd are -
Black/rust, Chocolate/rust, Stag Red, Self Colored Clear Red,  Chocolate Stag Red, Clear Red

Colors that carry the dd are-
Blue/rust, Fawn/rust, Blue Stag Red, Fawns Stag Red, Tan (blue nosed) and Tan (fawn nosed)

There are three combinations of the D locus in the min pin

DD - can be found in Black/rust, Chocolate/rust, Stag Red, Chocolate Stag Red, Clear Red & Self colored Clear
  Red
Dd - can be found in Black/rust, Chocolate/rust, Stag Red, Chocolate Stag Red, Clear Red & Self colored Clear
       Red
dd - can be found in Blue/rust, Fawn/rust, Blue Stag Red, Fawn Stag Red & Tan (both blue and fawn nosed)
The E's (I like to call this series the clear red)

The E locus is the main gene that will tell us if the coat color will be red only. 

Here are the E Locus the min pin can carry

E - Non Clear Red This is the dominate gene of the two genes
e - Clear Red This is the recessive gene of the two.
But when you get ee it is dominate to the A locus

Colors that carry the EE or Ee are -
Black/rust, Chocolate/rust, Blue/rust, Fawn/rust, Stag Red, Chocolate Stag Red, Blue Stag Red & Fawn
Stag Red

Colors that carry the ee are-
Clear Red, Self Colored Clear Red,Tan (blue nosed)  &Tan (fawn nosed)

There are three combinations of the D locus in the min pin

EE - can be found in Black/rust, Chocolate/rust,Blue/rust, Fawn/rust, Stag Red, Chocolate Stag Red, Blue Stag
  Red & Fawn Stag Red
Ee - can be found in Black/rust, Chocolate/rust,Blue/rust, Fawn/rust, Stag Red, Chocolate Stag Red, Blue Stag
  Red & Fawn Stag Red
ee - can be found in Clear Red, Self Colored Clear Red & Tan (both blue and fawn nosed)
